Oatlands Regeneration Project

Won by competitive interview, Holmes was appointed by Bett Ltd as architect implementing the masterplan for the Oatlands Regeneration project on the south bank of the River Clyde, opposite Glasgow Green. The project is being developed by Bett Ltd in conjunction with Glasgow City Council as landowners.

1250 residential units are planned in a mixed development for sale and rent. The master plan benefits the area with new housing, roads and infrastructure, also major landscape upgrading to Richmond Park. Plans for four and six storey flats, town houses and terraced houses establish a new urban quarter made up of streets, squares and landscaped open spaces.

Programmed over 9 phases, the first two comprising 437 units are currently on site, with an estimated completion date of 2009. Construction cost of Phases 1 & 2 is estimated at £26m.
