Carluke Integrated Community Facility and St. Athanasius Primary School is the flagship project of the 11 schools Holmes is delivering in phase 2 of the South Lanarkshire Primary Schools Modernisation Programme.

The school and community facility have been conceived as one building, providing, through a confident and striking design, a strong civic presence as recognition of its importance at the heart of the local community. Holmes worked with Haa Design on the interior design of the Social Work and Community Facilities. The completed project was recognised by the Glasgow Institute of Architects (GIA) with a Design Commendation in 2010.
