Holmes have been working as Lead Consultant for Golden Jubilee National Hospital over the past two years providing them with full design, tender and contract administration service for high quality facilities that support their new status of specialist West of Scotland Heart and Lung Centre.

All projects involve the remodeling of existing facilities with modern interventions that compliment and add to the existing accommodation within the confines of the fully operational hospital with careful consideration of phasing, logistics, Infection Control and Health & Safety requirements.

For the new Catering and Dining Facilities, Holmes have worked hand in hand with the Hospital User and Steering Groups to develop proposals that would deliver all patients meals as well as staff and visitors catering requirements. Consultation with the client and key stakeholders was taken from initial concepts through to agreement of all internal finishes and fitments to meet Infection Control requirements and to ensure a fully inclusive DDA compliant facility.

Project commenced on site in April 2009 and will be completed in two phases to maintain continuity of service throughout the project within the live hospital environment. Fully operational new kitchen and dining facilities will be operational be the end of 2009.
