St Peter's Primary School, Edinburgh
This new 2 stream school forms part of the Edinburgh Schools PPP project. The school is located on a constrained site on the edge of the Grange Conservation Area. The proposals incorporate a significant through route, a public play area and address the planning requirement to maximise open green space on the site.
The finished St. Peter’s school undoubtedly met the challenges of the site and has been used as an exemplar for good planning by the CEC Planning Department. The school was constructed within the cost constraints of a PPP budget and has proved to be a much loved school for the local community, providing the pupils and teachers with a colourful building they can call their own.
