The new building will be sited on vacant ground south of the Rutherford building , observing the established building line to Mayfield Road leaving a gap between existing and new allows the possible introduction of the covered link between both buildings.
The accommodation brief for the building is to provide 1650m2 floorspace to provide new additional research facilities for the School of Biological Sciences.
