Following on from the success of Phase 1 of the £650 million South Lanarkshire Council Primary School Modernisation Programme, Holmes, working in partnership with Bovis Lend Lease (Scotland) Ltd, was appointed as one of three Phase 2 Framework Contractors, looking after 11 projects.

Holmes have successfully delivered 5 schools to date with a further three project on site and three in design and pre-construction stages all due on site by mid 2011.

The first completed project in Phase 2 was St. Athanasius Primary School and Carluke Integrated Community Facility which was handed over in two phases in July 2009 and January 2010 was recognised by the Glasgow Institute of Architects (GIA) with a Design Commendation in 2010.
