GROVE ACADEMY PRAISED BY FIRST MINISTER

Grove Academy, designed by Holmes, was officially opened on 2 March by First Minister Alex Salmond who said of the new school:
“From the innovative approach to construction and the intelligent design and use of space to the outstanding facilities… this is clearly a learning environment… where pupils can fulfil their potential and excel.”
Grove Academy is the eighth and final school built under Dundee City Council's £90 million school building programme (seven of which were designed by Holmes) to be officially opened. The new school boasts an assembly hall, sports hall, gym hall, dance studio, fitness suite and 25-metre six-lane swimming pool.
