Holmes Partnership, in collaboration with Aberdeen's Harlaw Academy have embarked on a new educational venture to design a small café pavilion in Rubislaw Terrace Gardens.
The project aims to marry the mathematics curriculum with environment making, illustrating the practicalities of what can seem a purely academic exercise by giving pupils the opportunity to conduct site surveys and produce scale drawings.
Brought about through Learning and Teaching Scotland’s Excellence in Education Business Links, should the project prove a success it could be rolled out nationally, linking into other school subjects and to other schools.
