Planning Permission Granted for Bellorr Residential Development

11 February 2011

Sitting close to Holmes' offices, at the corner of St Vincent Crescent and Minerva Street, this development of 55 residential flats for developer Bellorr, represents an exciting opportunity to restore the street pattern to this part of the Finnieston area and create a respectful and friendly neighbour to the listed historic terraces across the road.

The facade of the lower five storeys to the front of the terrace is formed in a gentle curve of buff sandstone as a match for both form and material to the neighbouring properties. There are two upper storeys set back 2.5 and 5m respectively acting as roof top accommodation with balconies. The walls here are clad in zinc sheeting. The rear elevation is formed in precast concrete panels.

The building is accessed from Minerva Street by three pedestrian accesses into common stairs and by two vehicle entrances to a double level car park. The parking is to the rear of the development and is covered with a landscaped deck providing amenity and views out to the occupiers in the flats above.

The project was granted Planning Permission on 8 December 2010.
